DOLMANS IN MANCHESTER

Greetings from Canada! :-)

Does anyone have any references to
Dolmans in Manchester?. That's where my family comes from. There are
also more than one Dolman family in Manchester that I'm not related to.
I think the Manchester branch of my family came from the Potteries, but
I'm not sure.

Regarding the name "Dolman" I have been told that
it could be derived from the anglicisation of the French "D'Allemagne"
("from Germany", a reference to the old Prussia rather than modern
Germany), and the origins are in the area of Maastricht (now in Holland
close to German border). The name "Dolman" is very common in Holland as
well.
